Our town’s beautiful parish church needs a new roof! ☔️ The existing roof of St Mary’s is 150yrs old and the increasing leaks mean it really is time to replace her. We are asking our whole town and community in Eastbourne to help us to protect this ancient and iconic building. 🍰📖 ST. MARY’S RECIPE BOOK 📖🍰 We are creating a St. Mary’s Recipe Book to be sold at this year’s Summer Fayre in aid of Mary’s Meals. Do you have a favourite family recipe, a treasured bake, a comforting supper, or a dish everyone always asks you to make? We would love to include it. Please submit your favourite recipe to Margaret Barr via the Parish Office. Every recipe shared will help support the extraordinary work of Mary’s Meals, providing meals for children in some of the world’s poorest communities. Please do share this with friends and neighbours. Let’s fill the book with the flavours and stories of our community. 💙

We were very glad to be able to provide the space for people to gently remember their loved ones this afternoon. The candles for remembering were made with the old Easter candles of this church, meaning that the sadness of loss was woven into the Christian hope.

☕🧠 CHRISTIAN AID WEEK QUIZ NIGHT 🧠☕ Join us for a fun and friendly Fundraising Quiz in aid of Christian Aid Week! 📍 The Old Parsonage 📅 Saturday 16th May 🕔 5pm Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be provided, and teams can be formed on arrival, so come along whether on your own or with friends. A suggested donation of £5 per person will go towards the work of Christian Aid. Many people across the world are facing enormous hardship.
