The Flower Guild

The Flower Guild at St Mary’s

The beauty of flowers has long been part of Christian worship, helping to lift our eyes and hearts toward God. At St Mary’s, the Flower Guild works quietly and faithfully to create arrangements that complement the rhythm of the church’s year and enrich the offering of our worship.

A dedicated team of volunteers gives their time and creativity each week, ensuring that the church is adorned with colour and life. Their work is both an act of devotion and a gift to all who come through our doors.

The Flower Guild also prepares special arrangements for weddings, funerals, and memorials. These flowers carry deep meaning, marking moments of joy and celebration, or offering comfort and remembrance in times of loss. Families often find it a moving way to honour a loved one or to create a lasting memory of an important occasion.

Through the skill and care of the Flower Guild, the beauty of creation is brought into the heart of the church, reminding us that all of life is to be offered to God in thanksgiving.

If you would like to be part of this creative and prayerful ministry, new volunteers are always warmly welcomed. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and a love of flowers.
