FAMILIES

Families are always welcome at St Mary’s. Whether you come to the 9.45am Sunday Eucharist or our monthly Family Service at 3.30pm on the first Sunday of the month, you’ll find space for all ages to take part and feel at home. Children are welcome to move, explore, and be themselves in worship, and there’s a play area at the back of church for little ones who need a break.

Our Family Service is especially relaxed and interactive – with story, song, prayer, and play designed to engage children and support families in faith. We encourage children onto the Christian journey towards admittance to Holy Communion and Confirmation at the appropriate ages.

Beyond Sundays, we love to see families connecting through our Noah’s Ark Playgroup, which meets weekly during term time on Mondays at 9.30am, and through our seasonal workshops for Christmas, Easter, and other key moments in the year – creative, faith-filled gatherings that bring the story of God to life.

We’re also excited to be launching a Junior Choir in January 2026, open to children who love to sing and want to grow in confidence, friendship, and faith through music. Wherever you and your family are on the journey, you are truly welcome here.
